The rope comes pre-soaked with rutting moose scent and is designed to be suspended lengthwise along a tree, ideally a fir approximately 10 to 15 ft (3.0 to 4.6 m) tall. Once positioned, the exposed rope helps distribute scent through the surrounding area, creating an odor source that moose can detect from a distance. Its hanging format requires little preparation in the field and allows the scent rope to remain positioned at the selected location. Rope-X can also be used together with Top Scrape and Moose Scrape products when building a more complete scent setup for moose hunting.
