For more than 55 years, Londero Sports has evolved alongside the passions of its customers.
1967 – The Beginnings: Duilio and Huguette Londero
Duilio Londero, with Huguette at his side, opened a neighbourhood hardware store on Saint-Jacques Street in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Huguette was essential to customer care, management, and daily operations. Together they set the ethic standards & values that still define Londero Sports.
1970s – Toward Fishing and the Outdoors
Adding fishing products to our catalog was an important turning point for Londero Sports. Success was immediate and revealed a deeply rooted regional passion for outdoor activities.
1980s – Expansion Into Hunting
We expanded our product selection into hunting, camping, and specialized equipment and became a go-to shop for reliable guidance and gear that fits real field conditions.
1988 – The Opening of Miteg
The Londero family opened Miteg, a store focused on outdoor clothing and accessories, to round out the experience for outdoor enthusiasts.
1993 – The Catalogue and Canadian Reach
Londero Sports was among the first retailers to publish a catalogue devoted entirely to archery.
Over time it grew to cover every department and became a reference catalogue in Quebec and across Canada.
1998 – Relocation to Séminaire Nord Boulevard
Londero Sports moved to its current location in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. This relocation marked a major step in how we serve customers and grow the business.
1998 – Paolo Londero Officially Takes the Helm
Paolo Londero officially took over the leadership of Londero Sports.
Under his leadership, the company became more structured and specialized, strengthening its position until it became a provincial and national reference in hunting, fishing, and archery.
2008 – Patrick Londero (1970–2008)
Patrick Londero, Paolo’s brother, left a lasting mark on the business and on Quebec’s hunting community through his work with sport shooters and migratory bird hunters.
His sudden passing in 2008 affected the family, the team, and the local community deeply.
2013 – The Patrick Londero Classic
A commemorative clay shooting event was organized to bring together the waterfowling and sport shooting community in tribute to Patrick Londero.
2010–2020 – The Final Decade of the Print Catalogue
Paolo Londero continued to build and structure the business. Mylène Dambrine-Londero took on a strategic role within the organisation and helped prepare the shift to digital.
2020 – Full Transition to Digital
We published our last print catalogue, after 25+ years, and focused on building our website, which had already been part of how we serve customers for years.
Today
Three generations of the family work together today, carrying forward Duilio founding spirit. Alongside them, more than 25 dedicated team members bring specialist knowledge in hunting, fishing, firearms and archery, and the same commitment to every customer.
