The PC Backpacker is designed for the Ruger PC Carbine takedown platform. When the carbine is separated, the barrel assembly with the forend attached locks into the underside of the stock to form a compact package. The polymer construction includes an M-LOK-compatible forend, front and rear QD sling mounting points on both sides, an anti-slip rubber butt-pad and two integrated storage compartments. The hinged compartment beneath the comb accommodates items up to the size of a PMAG 21 GL9 magazine, while the O-ring-sealed pistol-grip compartment provides water-resistant storage for small gear. Standard and optic-height cheek risers are included, with the optic-height riser adding 0.5 in. to the comb height. Ruger PC Carbine models equipped with a chassis or tubular handguard require a standard Takedown Block in place of the factory Modular Handguard Mount to install the Magpul forend.
