Its machined aluminum frame features a hard-anodized finish, while the retractable grip plates are manufactured from anodized tool aluminum. The plates extend from both sides of the firearm to provide stable contact on vertical, sloped, or horizontal surfaces, helping the shooter maintain control when using available terrain or structures as a rest. When transporting the firearm, the plates fold into the frame to reduce interference with clothing, vegetation, and gun cases. A gear strap can attach directly to the support, and an optional Picatinny accessory rail can also be mounted without requiring the OXA to be removed.
