The Wildcat 22 Thumbhole uses a striker-fired operating system with a hemispherical firing pin and a removable lower receiver assembly that contains the trigger group, bolt assembly and reversible manual safety. The lower assembly can be removed from the rifle to provide chamber-end access to the bore for cleaning. Its laminated wood thumbhole stock incorporates a height-adjustable comb, vertical grip and slightly widened fore-end. The 18" steel barrel is precision button-rifled and finished with a recessed target-style crown. The composite upper receiver incorporates a Picatinny top rail, while the rifle also includes an adjustable Ghost Ring rear sight and ramped post front sight. Ammunition is fed from a detachable 10-round rotary polymer magazine with metal feed lips and last-round bolt hold-open functionality.
